How Lumestea Innovex designed and developed TalkAbout Prayer — a multilingual, multi-faith social community platform that connects believers across 5 languages and cultures worldwide.
A Community Platform Built on Faith & Connection
TalkAbout Prayer is more than a social platform — it’s a sacred digital space where people of diverse faith traditions come together to share prayers, seek support, and build spiritual community. The client envisioned a multilingual platform accessible to users across cultures and languages, without compromising on performance or user experience.
Lumestea Innovex was brought on board to architect the entire platform from the ground up — from UX research and wireframing to development, BuddyBoss community customization, and multilingual WPML integration.
The result: a fully functional, scalable, faith-first social community platform that supports 5 languages (English, Hindi, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese Traditional) and delivers a seamless, mobile-responsive experience to a global audience.

Complex Problems We Were Tasked to Solve
Building a global faith community platform brought with it a unique set of technical, cultural, and UX challenges that required deep expertise and creative problem-solving.
Supporting Arabic and Hebrew (right-to-left) languages alongside English, Hindi, and Chinese within a single cohesive UI without layout breakage or inconsistency.
Designing a UI that felt inclusive and respectful across diverse religious traditions — from Hinduism and Islam to Christianity, Judaism, and beyond — without alienating any community.
BuddyBoss community platforms are notoriously heavy. Delivering fast load times for users on mobile across emerging markets required aggressive optimization strategies.
Designing social feeds, group dynamics, activity walls, member profiles, and forums that encourage authentic spiritual sharing — not just passive consumption.
Over 70% of projected users would access from mobile devices. Every component and interaction pattern had to be designed touch-first, not desktop-first.
Building robust content moderation, reporting flows, and privacy controls to ensure that the sacred space remained respectful, safe, and trustworthy for all users.
Lumestea approached this as a full-stack digital product build, combining deep UX research with technical architecture to deliver every layer of the platform.
Developed 6 distinct user personas across age groups and faith traditions to guide feature prioritization and information architecture.
Mapped end-to-end user journeys for key flows: onboarding, posting a prayer, joining a group, and discovering new members.
Analyzed 12 faith and community platforms to identify UX gaps and opportunities for differentiation in navigation and content organization.
Created low-fi wireframes tested with real users before any pixel-perfect design, eliminating costly rework in development.
Built a bespoke component library with 60+ reusable UI elements ensuring visual consistency across every page and feature.
Designed a deeply spiritual yet contemporary color palette — deep navy, serene whites, and accent tones that convey faith, trust, and warmth.
Carefully selected multilingual-compatible typefaces with proper reading rhythms for English, Hindi Devanagari, Arabic, Hebrew, and CJK characters.
All 40+ screens delivered in Figma with developer handoff notes, spacing tokens, and interactive prototypes for each major flow.
Built on BuddyBoss for robust community features: social feeds, groups, member profiles, forums, and activity notifications.
Developed a bespoke child theme with pixel-perfect implementation of the approved Figma designs, ensuring zero visual drift between design and code.
Implemented lazy loading, image optimization, object caching, and CDN integration to achieve sub-2 second load times.
Built advanced member blocking, content reporting workflows, admin moderation queues, and keyword filtering systems.
Deployed WPML with language switcher and automatic user locale detection to serve the correct language on page load.
Engineered a fully mirrored RTL stylesheet for Arabic and Hebrew, with automatic dir attribute switching and font fallbacks.
Integrated inline translation prompts within the activity feed so users can read posts in their native language with a single tap.
Beyond translation, we adapted layouts, iconography, and content display conventions to cultural expectations for each language group.
